۞ WONDERLAND ۞ New Year Celebration

｡. ELECTRIC UNIVERSE

The Electric Universe project was founded in 1991 by Boris Blenn and Michael Dressler in Hamburg, Germany.[2] After being inspired by the first big Voov Experience in Sprötze, the first Psy Trance oriented tracks were produced, with just 5 pieces of equipment. These were two synthesizers, one sampler, a mixing desk, and an Atari 1040STE. Some of the tracks found their way into the hands of DJ Antaro, who had just started his record label Spirit Zone. He liked the stuff and decided to release the Electric Universe Solar Energy maxi single as the second release on his label. It turned out to be a big hit and set the ground for the first album, One Love, in 1994.[3]

More and more trance parties were taking place and Electric Universe started to give concerts, at first, mainly in Germany, and then later, all around the globe. In 1997, Dressler decided to leave the project and Boris went on alone. It was the year of the Star Diver album, with the massive track Online Information,[1] that blew the dancefloors everywhere and came to be a blueprint for breakbeat trance. In 1999, Roland Wedig joined Electric Universe and the result of the first cooperation was the track “Meteor” on the Blue Planet album. This kicking track, with its expressive guitar lines was played at many psychedelic parties for over a year. Often during live performances, Electric Universe will be accompanied by their stage guitarist, Roland, who accompanies the band in tracks that feature the electric guitar.[4]

As well as the Electric Universe project, Blenn is successfully working on several side projects such as Jupiter 8000 on Nova Tekk/Liquid Audio and the chill project Galaxy on Blue Room as well as Gabon3 with its first release in the form of the album Source Of Silence in 2003 on Medial Music/Silenzio. Many collaborations have been happening in the last few years with artists such as DJ Sangeet, S.U.N. Project, GMS, and Olli Wisdom (Space Tribe).

｡. PENTA

Nikita Tselovalnikov, the psytrance producer behind Penta, has been making music since 1988. Having played in more than fourty countries around the world, appearing repeatedly in every major festival such as Boom, Ozora, Voov, Universo Paralello, Indian Spirit, and Burning Man, Nikita has gained reputation as one of the pioneers and innovators in the psytrance world. Being identified with darkpsy, full-on and progressive genres at the same time, Penta’s unique futuristic sound has brought together people of different scenes into one swirling psychedelic dance. You will find Penta’s tracks on dozens of compilations, singles, as well as seven albums.

Apart from being a producer, Penta is the designer, web developer, and the owner of AuraQuake record label. He is also the man behind spontaneous projects, such as Boom Festival Radio and Universo Paralello YouTube broadcasts. Since 2008, Nikita is performing with his own progressive house music project Azorsky. He is currently living between Mexico, Portugal and USA.

｡. NEUROMOTOR

Neuromotor aka Frederick Ali Talaa, one of pioneers and beating hearts of the global psy-trance scene. He started his musical career already at the age of 12, playing the piano while living in the French Antilles. At this very young age he sensed already that his entire life would be about music majorly.

After his piano lessons he started as a dancer and singer in a local hip-hop group and this is where he got into mixing several sounds for the first time. Later on being caught by the sonic pumping of psychedelic trance he started to play with his DAT-recorders, starting in the Antilles with his first self-organized parties and later on all around the globe with almost no place worldwide unattended and steered up with his wild psychedelic mind-altering beats.

After the Antilles he leaves for Ibiza, to become the resident Dj of Khumaras in San Antonio under the name Thylan. He buys a studio on the island and decides to start composing his own music and this was the official birth of Neuromotor.

His first album sold over 12.000 copies.Then He released his second storming album “Bloody Reality” on Acidance Records from Greece. He has started his own label under the name Mechaniks Sound Records, later to be changed to Mechanik Records which is currently working on a storming new compilation due to make major impact in the worldwide psy-trance scene.

Lately Fred has also been experimenting with other styles of music and is producing a new fresh blend of psychedelic trance-beats mixed up with trip-hop grooves.

Now he’s just released his second storming single “Ticket To Highway” in VA-Shanti Jatra Vibes compilation.

Last updated knocked everyone’s brain off on the last of Shanti Jatra Festival with his music.

｡. VIRTUAL LIGHT

Virtual Light is a psytrance producer and DJ hailing from the great white North of Canada. He has been slaying dance floors like it was 1999 since 1999 and has toured the world many times over, laying down his signature sound at all the world’s top festivals. Being one of the Zero1 label DJs, his style ranges from futuristic twilight to a deep, uplifting, classically psytrance vibe unified by an enigmatic character that defines the Zero1 sound.

There is a buzz in the air within the scene about this wise sonic maestro…and rightly so….

Mandala has developed a reputation for delivering his music in an authentic, passionate and highly energised cosmic way, sending dance floors into a frenzy whenever he plays. A cutting edge UK Psychedelic vibe of wisdom oozes from the speakers when he is behind the decks.

He has distilled his life experiences into the narrative of his sound and translated them into a tsunami of inspired frequencies from this dimension and beyond. He also happens to be a very interesting and lovely human being!

Not surprisingly, Angus’ life has been about living and breathing psychedelic music and culture in all its forms. He has a wealth of experience and enthusiasm from his extensive travels and colourful life, and It is this passion drawn from venturing deep into the unknown that has resulted in his signature Mandala sound, which is capable of captivating and elevating the dance floor to the ecstatic peak of the party.

His music weaves an intricate tapestry , his daring arrangements challenge the norm and his top quality production all contribute to his live performances that are a unique ‘Cosmic Journey”, delivered with the intensity of a truly passionate artist that has created something remarkable.

Mandala has played at many major festivals all over the planet and has whipped up a unique sonic storm on every occasion.

He has released a string of highly acclaimed Ep solo releases on Nano records and also collaborations with the likes of Tristan, Killerwatts, Braincell, Hypnocoustics, Pogo….and quite a few more swell as starting ‘Undercover Babas’ with Braincell. His monster of an album “back to your nature” in 2018 Made waves throughout the scene and he is fully committed to bringing fresh material into fruition, constantly striving to raise the bar. As he puts it…this is my path and I love doing this!

｡. A-Tech

A-Tech is the solo psychedelic trance project created by Tiago Guerra, native of the city of Porto.a A passionate about various types of music, in 2001 he had his first contact with electronic music, and soon after 2 years began to dedicate himself to the slope of Djing, exploring sounds like house music, techno or trance.Almost 10 years later, driven by a great desire to create his own sonorities, Tiago Guerra started to create his own music, psychedelic music.At the beginning of 2016 he presented his A-Tech project and soon 3 months later he was invited to release one of his songs in the compilation Uncharted Vol.3, with the Dacru Records label. Later on, A-tech has released for other major labels such as Digital Om, Maharetta Records, or Psynoptics Records.The A-Tech music and project keeps growing everyday, and now it’s beeing played all over the world.The A-Tech project comes from a careful and harmonious fusion between psychedelic sonorities and the energy that only trance music can transmit.
