Hey friends and family! For anyone who wants to keep the groove going after Karakus Marakus, or feeling up for a little pre-party before the Modem Thailand teaser – we’ll be hosting 24 hours of psychedelic music on an island located right between the two event venues.
Brought to you by Sense, Free Earth Records, and co !
CONTINUUM: 24 Hours of Hypnotic Evolution
Dive into the heart of **CONTINUUM**, a sonic vortex where psychedelic music mutates into a living, infinite flow. From dusk to the next dusk, 24 hours of relentless beats sweep you away: a collective odyssey where time melts into euphoria, and each hour sculpts a new skin to the sound.
4 PM: The Psy-Tech Awakening.
The sun fades, and telluric basses surge forth – raw, tribal Psy-Tech. Psychedelic waves ride sharp techno rhythms, a visceral call that aligns body and cosmos. The DJs invoke the portal; your pulse quickens, the space vibrates.
The Flow: Nocturnal Metamorphosis.** The night swallows everything. From Psy-Tech emerges Progressive Psy, dreamlike crescendos that defy gravity. Then Dark Psy, introspective abysses, pure digital fractals. Sets that bleed into one another, cosmic visuals dancing with the frequencies. Non-stop, immersive: reactive lights, installations that breathe the sound. Let yourself dissolve, reborn at every transition.
Finale: High-Tech Apotheosis.
The cybernetic dawn explodes – distilled High-Tech, surgical kicks, cold stellar synths. The psy transcends, propelling you toward the unknown. Vortex of collective euphoria: you emerge transformed, an eternal echo pulsing in your veins.

CONTINUUM Culture
Tourism sources suggest that centuries ago, pirates used the island’s secluded coves, dense mangroves, and hidden spots as hideouts, possibly burying treasure there. One description evokes: “hidden coves of Koh Taen filled with pirate ships and the secret bounties they might have left behind,” while another notes “fascinating tales of pirate hideouts and hidden treasures.”
These stories add mystique for visitors but lack physical evidence or named pirates/events—they appear to be romanticized folklore, common for remote Thai islands to enhance appeal.
The island’s geography lends itself to such imagination: quiet beaches, mangrove forests, and features like bat caves create natural concealment spots.
Broader Gulf of Thailand history includes real piracy, such as 16th-century Chinese wokou raiders or later incidents, but nothing ties directly to Koh Taen. Modern (1970s–80s) piracy against Vietnamese refugees occurred elsewhere in Thai waters.
In essence, Koh Taen’s “pirate legends” are light on substance—more tourist charm than verified history.
